I imprinted on SF2CE on the Genesis pretty strongly, so everything since then has been understood in those terms. And Strive was my first real attempt to get into a fighter in roughly three decades; O M G.

Like, this is an actual campaign with whatever rules it needs to be fun and not like just PvP but with the CPU.

I rather vividly remember playing through Strive's single-player and getting _wrecked_ by the first CPU. But the campaign just kept going, much to my surprise, and then halfway through me getting wrecked in the second fight, too, the enemy from the first fight jumped in with some dialog and helped!

Ign review of Stormgate saying that the campaign didnt do a good job teaching how to play the game, and it shouldnt have to, this is what tutorial is for, treating single player content in those games as gateway to mp games is how they fail, most rts players plays single player campaign.
