It’s always good to visit seaside from time to time and notice the world is way much wider than your tiny office cube or apartment room and there are so much more besides your worries.

graphic 1/4 of my 2025 wrapped, which summarizes my year as a creative. each graphic is segmented into two "pages." page 1 (left) opens with a note saying, "2025 was a year where i got to try many new things! as a result, i got to learn a lot and gain new experiences... and for that, i'm eternally grateful. here's some of the highlights from this year!" the first highlight showcases three pieces i created while taking kat tsai's color and light class in february and march. column 1, from top to bottom: my room in 4 different lighting conditions, and a 16 panel color script of shades and sydney. column 2 is an illustration of shades and sydney at the barnacle and dime shoe store. there's a speech bubble from my PNGtuber at the bottom which reads: "fun fact about me! i originally wanted to take kat's class at the start of 2024, but i missed the registration period the first time around. i'm glad i took it in 2025 though, since 2024 helped prepare me for it." page 2 (right) showcases my hobby adventures in april and may, as well as my artfight prep in june. the other hobbies section reads: "after kat's class, i wanted to focus on my other hobbies. i edited a few videos... returned to doing weekly streams on twitch... and coded my own portfolio website! i <3 html & css!" this blurb is accompanied by a 2x2 grid featuring screenshots from those projects. the june (artfight prep) section features the references i made for sydney, minatoast, and whiffy the squiffy, my favorite splatoon OCs. it also features two portfolio pieces: a color key of sydney's apartment, and six color keys of yosuke hanamura in 4 different lighting conditions.

MY HUBRIS section features the cover of my 2024 art PDF, minato drawn in 6 of my mutual's art styles (deepseasecret, catnatch, lumamintz, mysticdahlias, darknicjen, and eden), and al 7 of my entries for brush week 2025. a caption below notes that "i will not do this much at once again <- overwhelmed"

graphic 3/4 of my 2025 wrapped. page 5 (left) is for honorable mentions to other projects i contributed to that didn't slot neatly into the previous pages. from top to bottom: laine's portfolio site, tai's portfolio site, and the souyo mixtape zine. for laine's portfolio site i built her mockups into a functioning site using webflow and visual studio code. screenshots of her home, works, and about page are featured. for tai's site, i loved arranging the different projects she worked on and doing a refresh of her carrd. screenshots of her homepage, about, and carrd are featured. souyo mixtape zine features previews of my illustration and one of my stickers. a little note reads, "did you know i didn't know wonderwall?" page 6 (right) is where i discussed my overall thoughts of the year. i wrote: "despite everything... i'm still here! and i think that's wonderful. i think that doing creative projects is really grounding for me: it's my anchor and how i make sense of things. while i don't know what 2026 will hold, i will do my best to enjoy the moment and to be kind :) ! yippee!!! thank you for being in my life!!!" speech bubbles of minatoast are used to list out my strengths of 2025, and things i want to leave in 2025. my three strengths of 2025 are: 1) learning new skills outside of art 2) playing around with color and light 3) community and kindness and the thing i wanted to leave in 2025 was my hubris, since "having multiple projects make my stress flare up unnecessarily." the graphic concludes with: "as a side note, i am very curious about low poly models and pixel art... so it's possible i'll try out blockbench 3d or aesprite in 2026! but i'll be happy as long as i'm creating :)"
