Yesterday, HHS announced TWO proposed rules that aim to severely restrict access to best-practice health care for trans youth. Starting today, the public has 60 DAYS to comment on the rules.

We appreciate all of our hard-working volunteers, donors, and everyone who signed the petitions. In whatever capacity, we will keep working towards a Missouri that is safer for all people to put down roots.

If you'd like to continue following us and work with us, we will continue to post about opportunities to advance and protect LGBTQ+ rights across the state and will announce if these petitions are re-launched in a future election cycle.

However, we have made an impact. With our grassroots movement, we were able to collect an estimated 15,000 signatures per petition. That's over 15,000 conversations with Missouri voters about the basic protections our community is missing in the state.

After much consideration, we have decided to stop circulating our 2 initiative petitions. We have not gained the traction needed to collect enough signatures to get these on the November 2026 ballot, and thankfully we do not have the urgency of same-sex marriage being examined by the Supreme court.
