i do believe that words and thoughts are powerful and shape your reality BUT that little voice in your head that tells you bad things isn’t something you can opt in and out of. that little voice isn’t me.

this implication that you have to be either an incredibly positive person or just extremely delusional to get good things is fucked. this implication that people who suffer from depression, similar mh issues, or just shitty circumstances are doomed to stay that way if they aren’t rainbows n sunshine

okay incoming rant about manifestation. every time i try to manifest something, the opposite happens. i looked up if anyone had advice and some manifestation girlies said that it’s because i secretly don’t want those good things for myself because i don’t think im deserving of it. i’m in disbelief.

that thing in the movies where someone is going through a hard time so their friend drops everything to be there for them. is that real?

i think, as a baby actor especially, it’s really easy to get caught up in imposter syndrome and anxiety and discouragement. i’m especially prone to it myself. so i like to keep record of all my wins - roles i’ve gotten, upgrades on set, compliments from coaches etc. bc i CAN do it + i AM doing it.
