WIP map showing the pre-modern course and extent of the River Seine. This is roughly the high water mark, but doesn't distinguish marshland at present. I've also only mapped the pre-modern course as far as Saint-Wandrille-RanΓ§on so far.
I'm in the process of mapping the pre-modern course of the River Seine, as I need my maps to reflect medieval waterscapes. I thought I'd share, as it's an important reminder of how drastically environments have changed over the last few hundred years (especially since the early 19th c). #MedievalSky

Each year, the IMC welcomes papers and sessions on all aspects of medieval studies, alongside a special thematic focus. In 2025, this special thematic focus will be 'Worlds of Learning'.
