Everything just feels so fake. I'm tired of the posturing and the self promotion and I'm tired of people's shitty shallow mindsets making me feel worse about myself when I know I deserve better.

Not that it really needs to be said, but I'm mostly going offline again outside of art/streaming.
A lot of stuff I've been through lately and continue to experience feels very isolating. It's my choice to not talk about it publicly but still. The internet just continues to get worse anyway

2026 has been really really rough on me and my loved ones so far. I want to despair. But my friend carved me a little wooden crocodile for "good luck" and someone I greatly admire hoped I have a good 2026. So I won't.

Flu or COVID? I'm not sure.
My husband wanted me to go to urgent care but I have medical fatigue. I've been to the ER two weeks ago for something different already + more doc appts coming up. I insisted on toughing it out. Maybe not great, I dunno. But I sweated it out, literally

As of about mid-day yesterday I started to feel like a person again. I had basically four days of being unable to physically or mentally engage in anything (I could barely even passively watch or listen because my headache was so relentless).
Just sleep or suffer - usually, both at the same time.

I have the flu
The recovery might be taking me longer because I'm barely eating, but also every time I try to eat more than a few spoonfuls of anything I get nauseous

I've been completely dead to the world for three days. Haven't been able to do anything but sleep. And the sleep has devolved into repetitive anxious thoughts that don't qualify as dreams and feel like torture. I just want to be able to do something. Anything.
