My newest knitting project is The Worst Witch Scarf. It came in a kit of 7 mini-skeins of hand dyed yard in various hues. Pattern is on Ravelry and on the website for Cape May Fiber. It’s a beautiful and relatively easy pattern to follow. #knitting #scarf #lacework 🧶

It hung out on Sleeve Island, then camped at Weaving In Ends resort- but I finally finished my first sweater! I gauge swatched, but it is not as large as it should be. Was 5” too narrow pre-blocking. Now it’s 2” too narrow, so I got some size back. Just waiting to dry and will trim ends. #knitting 🧶

I’m also constantly amazed at how often I hear reporters just repeating what various politicians and department spokespeople and heads are saying but NOT often stating the facts. Some are doing that, but not nearly enough. Every single lie must be called out every single time.

No. It’s organic and naturally occurs in soils. Bt refer to the genus and species name for the specific bacteria it js. It produces proteins in the soil that are toxic to caterpillars. I want caterpillars in certain areas, but not in my tomato’s or squash.

This year I used Bt spray every 2 weeks and it seems to have kept them at bay. You can also try and replant but it may be a bit late for that now.

I think it’s just happy to see you. 😉

Thanks! I’m new at knitting anything that needs to be gauged properly- so this process is new to me. I may have to knit another swatch with a needle one size larger.

My next (and hopefully final) knitting question regarding this project is which bust measurement do you use to determine size? Shell has 3” ease. Chart is below. Do you use “to fit chest” or “finished bust”? Looks like finished measurements account for ease. #knitsky 🧶

Pattern was written as per norm. I reduced for post to save space. This is my first wearable and wasn’t sure if it’s better to reswatch or resize.

Knitters, I have a gauge question. I knit my 1st swatch (in the round) for a summer sweater. Pattern is 4.5 stitches per inch. I’m at 5 stitches per inch. Is that 1/2 a stitch off going to matter? It’s a knit in the round sweater - stockinette Pattern=Perfecf Summer Shell on Ravelry. 🧶 #knitsky
