Lovely essay, enjoyed reading it and it makes me glad that someone out there seems to share the same sentiment. In an old letterboxd review I cannot find, someone discussed the idea of Superman being dated. They argued that he's not dated we've just allowed apathy and evil to win, we need pure good.
