that cloud cover was astonishingly beautiful last night

if you fly into pittsburgh around halloween, you can see SO many purple, orange, and green halloween lights on houses. almost more lights than at christmas time

i detest weak, watery ginger drinks as much as i love tasty, rich ginger drinks, so i toootally knew where you were coming from lol

Rough chop ginger and combine equal parts ginger, boiling water, and sugar (by weight) into a blender or NutriBullet. Blend for 15-20 seconds until all ginger chunks have broken down. Strain through a fine mesh strainer into a bottle or container. Best ginger syrup ever.

i do this, put it in a jar to keep, & then mix a half cup of it with a cup of tonic water & ice when i want some.

i worked my butt off last week getting the house and garden sparkling and organized for the family visit, and i’m wiiiiped today after all of the fun this weekend w/the kids, but it’s so nice to have had the impetus to get that done, as it was basically the fall housecleaning.
