Big news from @katiebarnes.bsky.social this morning: For the first time in league history, the WNBA generated enough revenue in 2025 to trigger revenue sharing with its players.

Teams will receive $8 million to disperse among players, the union said.

you can certainly get to McMahon's point when you're a national writer, because while he is based where is based, he has an expense account to travel to other arenas. the local writers don't have that luxury. if the local team cuts them off, they basically do not have a job anymore.

That's just not really possible in the current media environment, where the individual teams control who gets a press pass and who doesn't. You can only be so critical of the people who let you into the games for free.
