Today's weather has meant a long overdue revisit to Tonbridge Angels. Longmead Stadium is a cracking venue, with its curve-roofed main stand, moved here from their former Angel Ground in 1980.

Deal Town's Charles Sports Ground, pictured here in the early 1990s. The Kent club still play here, although the ground looks a lot different these days.

BLASTS FROM THE PAST
Opened in 1984, East Thurrock United played at Rookery Hill until their demise in 2023. These photos show the ground around 1995, before later development that saw it used for Step 2 football for 3 seasons from 2016. The ground now stands vacant and unused.

The White Lion Ground was home to Edgware Town from 1939 until it fell into the hands of property developers and sold off. These pics are from 2003. The ground was last used in 2008.

BLASTS FROM THE PAST
These photos taken in April 2002 show Eastbourne Borough's Priory Lane ground in the process of being upgraded with a new stand. Formerly going under the name Langney Sports and playing in the Sussex County League, they are now in the National League South.

A few years ago this floodlight pylon had become surplus to requirements at Portsmouth's Fratton Park, so they moved it into the car park to shed some light there! The ground no longer has any pylons inside.

The South Stand at Portsmouth's Fratton Park is rapidly approaching its 100th birthday. One of only 3 Leitch stands retaining his signature lattice balcony wall, it will be the only one left in England when Goodison Park is demolished.
