Came across my 4th grade report card. I guess I just didn't talk that year. Probably because my teacher was a bitch who made fun of my speech impediment and the way I walked on my toes.

Oh, there is definitely a t-shirt hierarchy in my wardrobe. I have three different drawers for varying levels of everyday shirts, and my special occasion tees hang up. Though I hadn't actually thought about it in those terms until I saw this post.

Merry Christmas! My overstimulated child threw a massive tantrum this morning and my parents are arriving in less than an hour. I'm having a drink.

The child is now contentedly reading on her new Kindle.

I don't really get into many tv shows, but this one has me hooked!

Finished the first semester of grad school with a 4.0! I'm not in a rush to start next semester (I need to survive the week before winter break and all that entails first) but I'm looking forward to it when it is time to start.

Final assignment of the first semester of my ed leadership degree has been submitted! I can breathe and do all the things again.

Congrats! I have one more assignment to finish up for my first semester of an ed leadership degree. It's gonna feel good when I hit that submit button!

Drove 45 minutes to my tattoo shop so my kiddo could get her ears pierced.... and she changed her mind. Totally fine, I got a helix piercing, we got fancy cupcakes, wandered around Old Town, and she got a tape measure with a crocheted cat cover. Not the day I had planned but still a good one!

I am *screaming*. So perfect!

The electrical wiring situation in my house is stupid, but I am not. I didn't get electrocuted AND I solved the problem!

My neighbors had their 4yo's birthday party at a brewery, so now I'm solidly tipsy at 2pm.

Note: it's a very kid friendly setting, complete with playground and a large area for running around. The kids absolutely love it!

I played What it Sounds Like for my 2nd graders this past week, and a roomful of 7yos screaming "No more abs!" is exactly as hilarious as it sounds. My 9yo is dressing up as Zoey for Halloween.

Wwwhhhhyyyyyyyyy do I procrastinate on field experience reflections? Here I am, writing reflections from September, and I haven't even started on my October ones yet. #gradschool

My husband decided that our 9yo was old enough to watch the 1954 Animal Farm. She is reacting in all the appropriate ways.

We have a Duluth Trading Company in town, but I've never been! I'm always looking at their ads, though.

My students do not have to try very hard to get me to interrupt class to listen to any of the music from that movie. It legit slaps.

Are you trying to make me cry? Cause I will. That movie is gonna break me.

This is not the exact sequence that I follow, but yes, it's not an all at once thing. They learn the intervals and train their ears. It's building blocks. Same thing with rhythms.

I reread the Outlander series on a regular basis for my sanity. I get it.
