If 97% of stories on credible news outlets and mainstream media are “bad” about a person, they are probably doing some bad stuff.

That is a hypothetical. Unfortunately, a shut down would have given Trump even more power. And, regardless of whether it would have been false, Faux News and all the Republicans would have laid the blame on Democrats for a shutdown. We need to be more strategic and less “freak out.”

First of all, he is 70. Born in 1954. Secondly, he has been a wonderful Senator. Don’t go blaming Warner for the problems we have in our party. The extreme far left has had a negative impact on getting moderate and independent voters to vote for Democrats.
