Feb 23 at 8am Our friend Emery is being targeted by Portland District Attorney Nathan Vasquez after being arrested for standing against an event organized by fascist student club, Turning Point USA. The event, which was held at Portland State University, hosted Riley Gaines-a far right influencer who regularly speaks out against the inclusion of trans women in sports. Emery was violently arrested by PPB, who grabbed her breasts, and repeatedly misgendered her while she did not resist. We believe Emery has a right to stand up for her own existence, and we are angry at those attacking her life and those of other trans people. She was denied the ability to object to this murderous hate at the public university of the city she lives in, as a member of the group targeted by its hate. Let's attend her trial and show Nathan Vasquez and PPB that Portland stands against transphobic hate and supports trans women's right to exist.
