How shall I read into this?
1) That there may be a greater number of Hindus willing to step out of their religion for marriage?
2) That America has enabled them to be less communal?
3) That our (my husband and i’s) behaviour shows we don’t discriminate so it puts them at ease?

One of the biggest indicators of lack of prejudice is whether you will marry your kid into another community/religion. I have had two Hindu friends express oblique interest in my son for their daughters. Bohat fascinating laga mujh ko.

I follow certain people who are obsessed with decolonization and Palestine or the stolen artefacts at the British museum & they incessantly share the pop culture they partake in, all of which is Brit or American. And they see no irony.

Clean the bathroom, the fridge, do the laundry, fold the laundry, vacuum, swiffer, cook, do grocery, put away grocery, push back the thought of all the drawers & cabinets that need to be organised better. Do jobs that earn you money. And then have spare time leftover for ‘passion projects’. Hah!
