Depends on your perspective, I guess. If you are a private school-commerce degree-thinktank type (and friends), you probably see that as maintaining the class system as God, nature and tradition intend.

The Reserve Bank has revealed it has been paying $20,000 a year to two right-aligned policy think tanks for more than a decade as part of its mandate to promote the nation's economic welfare, but nothing to more centrist or left-leaning institutions. In a written response to questions raised in a recent hearing of the House of Representatives' economics committee, RBA governor Philip Lowe confirmed the bank had been providing ongoing support to both the Centre for Independent Studies and the Sydney Institute.
The RBA was occupied by several Atlas Network partner tankers when Fairfax did an investigation (alongside its notoriously amateur business people). 3/9? approx at the time. It donated to Atlas partners for years. It’s part of the network of attempts to crush workers’ pay for profits. #Auspol

Your irregular reminder that entities like the Reserve Bank are empowered to do little more than “discipline” you. Inflation is complex now. RBA has one tool and it bashes workers on the head with that hammer. Threat of unemployment keeps you accepting lower wages. #AtlasNetwork #Auspol

If we wait that long, it’ll be too late. The LNP’s fossil-fuel operations to delay the transition to cheaper renewables has left our energy supply underpowered.

It’s important to remember that the BBC continues to be directed by Boris Johnson’s deeply ideological picks. Robbie Gibb in particular is enmeshed in the radicalised Right end of the Tory sphere that overlaps with Reform’s ugly nativism. The BBC is not an independent source: it is a weapon.
