I was chuffed that I managed to get the trilobite walking. Then the client asked if I could make it walk over a bump. Sounds simple, but technically a challenge. I had a sudden brainwave while chatting to a colleague, which (unexpectedly) worked. Single frame from the animation. #C4D #trilobite

The neat thing about the ultra-viral Czech beaver dam story is that it’s just a particularly vivid example of what legions of unsung beavers do every day — help us solve our environmental problems without our gratitude or acknowledgment, and in spite of our attempts to kill them! Beavers gonna beav.

The purist in me wants to add the gills, it's a massive amount of extra work getting them to also roll up, so the pragmatist in me says to leave them out because we are not showing them.

3D model of a trilobite rigged to demonstrate enrolment - eventually the model will be used in an animation. Getting all of the individual plates to overlap properly, and not pass through each other, was a major challenge. The next phase of the challenge is to get the legs in and get them walking for another animation.

This was a bigger challenge than expected (and I expected it to be tough). A walking and rolling 3D recreation of a trilobite. Getting all of the plates to interlock properly during enrolment took a couple of days fine tuning. Now to fit the rest of the parts and get them working.

Finally bumped into my first Yellow Wagtails in the uk yesterday at RSPB Burton Mere. I counted at least 7, possibly 8. #birds

Sitting on Cley beach this morning and what I thought was a bird landed just behind me.
Soon realised it was in fact a bat. Was very mobile amongst the pebbles looking for food. After 2-3 mins it flew off.
