Their feelings about one another had been an open secret, even to their wives, but it felt inappropriate to put it in such words as “dearest”. They were both married, after all, fulfilling their noble obligations to country and territory. Erwin tossed the paper in the trash. To Alvin, Too impersonal? My friend Alvin, That didn’t sound right either. This letter might take a very long time to compose indeed. Good thing he had the time, in his old age. Erwin decides to visit Lysithea's father, who was his old flame. (Lysithea's father is called Alvin in this fic.)

For Day 2 of #FE3H30weekend, I wrote a fic between Erwin and Lysithea's father, talking about the flame they had in Garreg Mach and a visit from Erwin which brings up some old memories.
