To reduce implementation-time, we have community examples for commitments. e.g. “expectations for working hours, remote working, and vacation” has 8 examples across 4 countries.

Commitments were rated as highly important for lab culture, but with extremely low implementation rates (< 25%). This highlights both the need, and potential impact, of our handbook throughout academia.

Every commitment was evaluated by more than 200 community members, including over 100 group leaders, across career stages, fields, and countries. Feedback was used to further improve the handbook, featured in full on our website.
