I am kin to all life, living a walking pace life with donkeys in full public view. The faster you go the more you miss.

It's not a failure. They were purchased by the oligarchy for this purpose.
It was spelled out in advance by Lewis F. Powell. The predecessor to Project 2025.

Your point being?
As someone who lived a life as a blue collar tradesman trying to have enough savings to live through retirement, almost all of my savings are shrinking out of sight in His Madnesty's stock market mayhem. You telling me it's my fault coz I'm rich?
I guess I don't apologize.

Baloney.
It was so the federal government could repel invaders or uprisings. The Constitution spells out specifically how the militia will be trained and organized, and when it can be federalized.
No, the founders did not say, "If you don't like the job we're doing you may kill us." Didn't happen.

Welcome to a high energy atmosphere.

Ever heard of a 401k? Of an IRA?
They're all synonymous with the stock market.
Mine was all in IRAs, mine and my late wife's.
We didn't make much money ever, but we spent even less.

We can kill people.
We are the people of death. We do death better than anybody.
Turns out that killing people isn't a dependable solution.

We "flattened" Iraq, but we didn't win a war there.
Flattened Afghanistan? Har har.
My dad was in France at our victory, but he was born in 1913 and died in 1998.

Yep.
I'm 77. I fought in one of our wars.
We did all you say, but we haven't won a war in my lifetime.
If you can find a time machine maybe you can get back there.

PS. I've already lost tens to maybe a hundred thousand bucks in the stock market slide. I'm not an executive.

And the sun rises in the east.
Those aren't the people who are losing their income.
Doesn't matter. You might be right, I might. Personally I think the global economy is going down. I don't think it can operate without US spending.

And the wars we fight. The biggest most expensive war machine in the world can't fight our way out of a wet paper bag. We can't whip a bunch of goatherds with donkey carts.
Nor were we able to whip a bunch of rice peasants with water buffalo.
Different underdogs, I guess.

We may be a "service economy" but we demand more fossil energy per person than any other economy on Earth. I'm not sure what "service providers" are doing with all that diesel fuel and gasoline, but they're paying for it with income.

He's removed all the income from hundreds of thousands of well paid federal workers.
He's removed the income from hundreds of high value research centers.
He's quit buying from American farmers to provide food aid.
Service economies require customers with income.
He's looking for a depression. Deep.

Most of everything "America" has ever said is idle boasting, braggadocio, and bullshit.

And only half of that.

If you want to inflict hurt on the rich and large corporations,

STOP SPENDING SO MUCH FUCKING MONEY ON THINGS YOU DON'T NEED!!!!!

I know you don't want to hear this, but he's the best President the climate could have asked for.

No, I don't support him, but fax is fax.

Exactly.
Same thing I've been asking for since about 2018.

I don't know much about finances, but I think they've got a system figured out to massively enrich themselves by crashing the global economy.
But for whatever reason, they're doing it.
I've got a friend with a PhD in economics who agrees with me about this. Appeal to authority. Logical fallacy.

Why bother his kids? They'd steal it from him if they had the stones. He's shorting it himself, daring somebody to notice.

It has been my opinion since January that His Madnesty and the Oligarch actively want to drive the economy into depression.
If that is they want, they're doing all the right stuff. There is no thing which they are doing which doesn't work towards it.
Global, 1930s on steroids, Greatest Depression.

Reading an article about today's stock market dive in The Guardian, and they ask "how much pain" Tmurp can stand.
The answer is, he can stand infinite pain as long as it's other people who are hurting.
