We may be a "service economy" but we demand more fossil energy per person than any other economy on Earth. I'm not sure what "service providers" are doing with all that diesel fuel and gasoline, but they're paying for it with income.

He's removed all the income from hundreds of thousands of well paid federal workers.

He's quit buying from American farmers to provide food aid.
Service economies require customers with income.

It has been my opinion since January that His Madnesty and the Oligarch actively want to drive the economy into depression.
If that is they want, they're doing all the right stuff. There is no thing which they are doing which doesn't work towards it.

Reading an article about today's stock market dive in The Guardian, and they ask "how much pain" Tmurp can stand.
The answer is, he can stand infinite pain as long as it's other people who are hurting.
