A daunting fight card of a man
I want an important chiffon... and that beast as a pet. Another find from @nicknumber.bsky.social

If you don't use Listerine, your breath may be bad enough to stop the seasons from advancing.
Love me some Yayoi Kusama! "Spotted" on Tumblr.
There's always Caturday

Because where else would it go?
What a strange and beautiful artwork. Who or what are they supposed to be?
"It was not so much what he said and did, but rather what he withheld, that marked him for her..." --Portrait of a Lady
"We know too much about people in these days; we hear too much. Our ears, our minds, our mouths are stuffed with personalities." --Portrait of a Lady
"You think we can escape disagreeable duties by taking romantic views--that’s your great illusion, my dear. But we can’t. You must be prepared on many occasions in life to please no one at all--not even
yourself.” -- Portrait of a Lady
I'm binging YTer Jaime French lately. I love her screwball sense of humor. Also, most bad movie commentators talk about sci-fi movies, horror movies etc. Jaime talks about girly movies. It's like having a sleepover with a funny, weird best friend (myself?) www.youtube.com/@jaimefrench...
Henry James enjoys his heroine (Portrait of a Lady): "She had not yet divested herself of a young faith that each new acquaintance would exert some momentous influence on her life."
Just an interesting life
I just learned Chicago has a whole magic scene. I've never been to a magic show, but this guy's act sounds super fun!
What is the deal with all the guys on here who think a follow means I want to date them? It's crazy...and creepy. But also just misconceived. Where are they getting their info?
Weedy seadragon babies! I feel like it's been forever since I took a moment to think about how incredible the Earth is. blockclubchicago.org/2025/06/11/m...
After a crazy long wait to get this game, I've gotten to play it at last. I'm no game critic, but I would call it a cross between D&D and tabletop strategy...? I like that it's not all about killing things, and the art is great.
The greatest of horrors, in film form
Rereading Portrait of a Lady. "Isabel's chief dread... was that she should appear narrow-minded; what she feared next afterwards was that she should really be so."
It was moving, and a little surreal, to learn of Brian Wilson's passing at a concert by those guys who did that one song... great show, anyway
Oh wow, that sucks. It's been ok for me, guess I'm lucky
Ugh, hot flashes are the WORST! I take gabapentin for them, the side effects have been minimal.
Beeskers means bunny? Ok, noted.
Great idea! It's so hard to find the right gift sometimes
what if an autism registry is just a list of stuff you should buy autistic people on special occasions
Yeah. There's something almost luscious about fat old paperbacks.
