This made my morning. I just had this discussion with a parent and their advocate in an IEP this week. I try to keep parents and advocates Strengths focused and N of 1. Norm comparisons are a small part of the overall picture. Hope your IEP meeting was constructive.

Yes, on pre op ROM & deformity. But w/ highly skilled surgeons like some we have here in Philly, it did not seem to matter. I was looking for ROM achieved by surgeon on the table and post op ROM and recovery. I tried long ago to assemble a study but never got buy in from the right people to support

TY for sharing @retlouping.bsky.social Do you know of any studies re: the relation of operative ROM and post-op ROM across the recovery timeline? I’ve seen studies re time from surgical open to close and post op complications but nothing specific to ROM. I appreciate your postings.

2 VERY different sports. I was fortunate to have a great powerlifting coach. No lifting injuries over 10 years of competitive powerlifting. I am grateful for my coach. That experience led to my career as a PT.
