It's a shame that they added the dodge mechanic from RE3 but at the cost of remove all the combat evolution that was in RE4 to 6, and the scanner system is pretty useless in the late game

It also doesn't have the exploration and map design of the PSX games. It feels like they sold the blueprint

The more I play Resident Evil 1.5, the more I feel that it was the inspiration for Resident Evil 2 Remake rather than RE2 itself.

I like that they took ideas from the prototypes for the remakes, but even the durability of the enemies has been taken from RE1.5 LMAO

it changes so many details but instead of feeling disrespectful (as usual in this kind of adaptations) creates a new meaning to the creature and their goals, being very fresh.

Very good film, if you have a chance, read the novel that doesnt replace it (nor does it intend to)
