What is the opposite of cute aggression? I just looked at my rescue dog as he lay his head on my lap sleeping and felt so overwhelmed with love I started crying.

I’ve got him and my cat on this couch with me while I read and I’m sobbing.

I am genuinely happy right now. My life is good.

It was hot and I am tired but he got so many pets and met 2 new doggie bff’s.

(6) so moral of the story is, don’t do meth and dogs are literal angels. He was in the shelter for SIX MONTHS and is the sweetest boy. I can’t help but think he was waiting for my anxious ass to find him. (And yes… his ears are just like that.)

(5) and today I finally submitted all my paperwork to my landlord. Nervous as hell she was going to give me shit. She didn’t. Just sent me the lease addendum for him as an ESA to sign. So now my family is officially me, my 12 year old, a grumpy old cat, and my new best friend Gorgonzola.

(4) and got him fixed. The shelter charges more for intact animals and gives you a voucher for the difference to be put toward getting them fixed. I went to my therapist and asked if there was a way to amend my ESA letter for Bruce and he was an rockstar and did it for me (shoutout Nathan)

(3) that window I panic that someone is trying to break in or go after my kid. So I adopted a dog. A big (for me, he’s 50 lbs) goofy, loving, but Big Bark dog. I was stressed about my landlord and I got all of my papers together, got him registered to me, groomed, spoiled…

(2) he crawled out his back window to get away from her now boyfriend and the bat he had just gotten from his car. Being directly below him on the ground floor… our windows are directly where he landed and took off. He’s in custody, logically I know the threat is gone, but any noises outside

Thread (1) Back in May my upstairs neighbor stabbed his ex girlfriend to death in his living room in the middle of the day. Thankfully neither my kid or I was home, but I’ve had lingering stress and panic attacks about our bedroom windows. It was a messy situation, he was not the initial aggressor.

We are scheduling a meet and greet with Bruce because he hasn’t interacted with cats! Hopefully we can meet him today!

Might fuck around and adopt a 4 year old dog that’s been in the shelter for six months.

I’ve done the same job, on the same program, in the same department, on the same team for over 2 1/2 years. Today I signed a document that puts me in an entirely new program with a rapid fire path to leadership. I am scared but also very excited. It’s still the same job, yet very different!
