I grossly low-balled it. My excuse is that I was looking at weapons/pers $ only. 1B/day might be on the high side, but far more accurate than my pack-of-smokes calculation this morning.
Even if this ends, this might be the last imperial war USA will ever conduct. This debacle is likely to end them.

A thought: given that Iran is burning weapons to hit 16 plus states, while accepting heavy incoming, tells me they're not husbading offensive IRBM/drones because USA/IDF have destroyed their ability to launch. Iran's known this is coming for 4 decades and planned. Their govt is evil - not stupid.

The ordinance USA expended to do it was likely 50% of the total target value. A target which the other guys knew would be ended and thus anticipated.
It's unsustainable.
Forbes estimates USA is burning (conservative) $13M/day right now. Given USA BS, I'd double that to approach a realistic number.
My hunch: China (and ships from solid Iran allies) have talked with Iran. Chinese tankers will be squawking codes that mean they'll be as safe as a babe in the arms of Jesus from Iran, as they transit Hormuz.

Iran's defences are NOT seriously degraded if they lose their navy, given IRGC's attack craft are intact and can deny Hormuz after they finish their Afternoon watch tea.

Iran's targeting their eyes, crippling their ability to coordinate, and willing to play rope-a-dope absorbing incoming until USA/IDF are defence depleted.
Iran is huge. They can let their cities be devastated in the short-term to ensure a successful counter attack.
USA/IDF areburing themselves out.
Not to be alarmist but - when USA/IDF burn through their interceptors in the next 2 weeks, pay attention to messaging and media.
When Tel Aviv, Haifa, Jerusalem, and other cities start to take hard core unopposed incoming, and start to look like Gaza, expect Bibi to consider nukes.
