The need for things to keep escalating means that the final showdown is a little more action-heavy than the movie is built to handle. And the last coda on the train is pretty predicable. But overall I had a pretty good time!

One quibble: Why did Driver and Garfield do Portuguese accents? Canonically they are speaking Portuguese not English, just have them talk normal imo. Neeson wisely avoids it.

Silence (2016): Gorgeous moment-to-moment, frame-to-frame. I was worried it might just be a depiction of noble suffering over the first two hours but then Liam Neeson shows up. Obviously there is a bunch of suffering but it really kicks into gear. My wife is v catholic so a lot of it really hits
