Pixar’s Pete Docter Says Queer β€˜Elio’ Storyline Was Axed Because β€œWe’re Making A Movie, Not Hundreds Of Millions Of Dollars Of Therapy” Pixar Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter explained the animation company's decision to ax a queer storyline in last year's Elio.

Wait until Pete Docter discovers TOY STORY 5 is a remake of PILLION, with Woody as the leather daddy and Buzz as the submissive. We also learn that Mr. Potato Head is a power bottom.

Seriously, to hell with this guy.

THREAD: I got laid off from NYMag/Vulture after 14 years. The family lost 75% of income + medical. Now mzs.press bookstore, once a side project. is do-or-die for Judith & I. I feel weird telling you this because others are doing much worse. But if you could like or share this, we'd be so grateful!

Freebasing with the potatoes! I was never able to grow them in my parents' garden. We did have collards and some corn and tomatoes, though.

Don't offer this fool no olive branch! Let the diva performing that night stomp on his balls until they fly out of his lame, pathetic ass.

I have a chin--in fact, I have two. But I'm not on X! And I don't think THE BRIDE! is the worst movie I've ever seen, but it is still pretty bad.

A 1975 New York Times ad for MAHOGANY touting that, due to popular demand, this Diana Ross disaster movie will be playing ALL NIGHT LONG on Friday and Saturday at the Loews State 2 in Times Square. MAHOGANY is one of the many movies I wrote about in my book, BLACK CAESARS AND FOXY CLEOPATRAS. Its theme song was also the theme song of my Senior Prom.

A fellow Chicagoan is here to wish @812filmreviews.com a very happy birthday. Though she "is Mahogany AND YOU'RE NOT!!", fashion model and designer of batshit outfits Tracy Chambers wishes you the best for your birthday. And if you don't know where you're going to, just listen to her theme song!

Rod Serling is probably the coolest guy of the 20th century. Looked cool, sounded cool, fought Nazis, hated John Wayne, wrote the screenplay for Planet of the Apes. Honestly dunks all the hell over any male influencer guy.

Why not?

With β€˜Hoppers,’ Pixar is running out of new ideas - The Boston Globe This tale of a robot beaver trying to save an animal habitat rips off "Avatar" and has an obnoxious protagonist, too.

HOPPERS is a rip-off of both AVATAR and MEN IN BLACK, plus it looks more like cheap Dreamworks than Pixar. And its protagonist is so obnoxious and unlikable that I wanted to scream. At least you get to see Meryl Streep squashed by a gigantic Oscar.

Here comes β€˜The Bride!’ and she’ll give you a headache - The Boston Globe Jessie Buckley and Christian Bale star in this occasionally clever yet punishing hot mess from writer-director Maggie Gyllenhaal.

I'm curious to see what audiences think of Jessie Buckley's NORBIT--I mean THE BRIDE! I thought it was absolutely awful, but I also admired that its decision to go fully bonkers without care or common sense. Looks nice but it's sound and fury signifying nothing.

The hilarious racism curing staircase in Sandra Bullock's house earned that film an extra half-star from me! I didn't hate CRASH as much as some folks (though I still panned it). If DO THE RIGHT THING hadn't already taught me not to trust White critics' reviews of films about race, CRASH would have.
