I'm a developer, people usually ask if frontend or backend, and my usual answer is: where I go there are no ends there.

My real work is closest to embedded. We don't interact with users.

I'd definitely recommend Defold, good tutorials and a tighter set of features than the big three means you'll have something fun in a couple of hours. And Lua is a breeze!
