It is EXTREMELY cool to me that:

* Use of Rust on Embedded platforms is such a high percentage of the ecosystem (16.8% bare metal, 12.9% with an OS)
* The usage is increasing year over year

yeah incremental compile times and conditional compilation are becoming a pain. definitely need to have a cleanup soon.
