and I totally get the frustration with true rogues, I've tried Cogmind and bounced back from it twice, maybe I'll finally sit down and GET IT get it next time

Wildermyth is def up there with the goats, but a lot of it is make your own fun, and it suffers from the same problem that lots of good but not great rogues have. Chrono Ark, Astrea, Vault of the Void, limits growth for more consistent values which imo takes away too much of the fun

games that push this to the extreme like Path of Achra, Cube Chaos, rift wizard, modded permadeath Elin, Caves of Qud, struggle with keeping draw values consistent which is the opposite problem of Into the Breach but it is so fun to theorycraft

I feel sts and into the breach both share the initial appeal of figuring out which draws have more value, tho the latter doesn't have much agency in letting the player theorycraft a niche gameplan and committing to it, and the power growth isn't all that high, which imo is the core appeal of rogues
