It's so annoying when you try to avoid upgrading to the combust toilet and then someone else does it for you. I've had roommates do it 😑

I read the other day that Harvestfest gnomes and alive gnomes give you seed packages directly in the inventory if you put them there. The Harvestfest gnomes only do it during Harvestfest and then they stop, but I don't know if alive gnomes stop or continue forever...

Is there some way to turn off the Post Processing Effects in Sims 4 without having to restart the game?

It's so annoying when I want to take one screenshot of the sky or something, but I need to tilt the camera slightly upwards to have everything in frame and it turns out all blurry

I read it as them knowing that it was Sims 4 all along, just that the way the game looks bugged their mind and they therefore couldn't figure out if that specific crying animation was from Sims 1 or 4

I didn't know that phone call question existed! That's the type of phone call I'd like my sims to receive, but instead they get irrelevant questions, such as the time Cassandra Goth asked if she should ask my androphilic servo out 😅

Sims can (sadly) only be plantsims temporarily, so they're not occult in CAS. Since the affected sims can give you Magic Beans and have the green hair in live mode, I guess the bug only affects plantsims

I wish we could set their phone interest in Likes and Dislikes or something

Do all the sims with this issue have the plantsim hair and/or are plantsims, or does it affect other sims too?

Do they have any type of non-skin-tone texture, for example tattoos, makeup, scars etc? I'm not sure how body hair works, but look for that too

Does anyone know what interaction the hand-on-hip animation at 00:32-0:34 is?

I've played a lot of things after it and also put together a few chapters after it, this one is just a bit complicated, and the worst part is that it HAS TO be the next chapter, there's no option to switch the chapters around

I just want to finish putting together the next Brights chapter but there are so many things going on in it, different scenes, flashbacks, editing screenshots (which I almost never do), sometimes I wish I didn't get complicated ideas, this chapter has been on and off in the making since December 😮‍💨

I understand that it feels weird to not read from the beginning, but don't feel that you have to! I would've never started to read any stories if I hadn't just jumped in somewhere 😅

Is there anyone who reads one of my Sims stories but not the other?

Asking because I'm thinking about if I'll have a flashback to Ahriman's past that earlier appeared in one of the stories to appear in the other one as well. I usually do so, but sometimes it confuses readers when they see it twice.

My four favourite moments from my story the Brights

In no particular order
- When Beren built Melon (originally blue, as seen here, now red)
- Everything around Melon crushing on Beren
- The fall of the Magic Realm
- Everything around Beren crushing on Ahriman (still sad about the outcome though 🥲)

The way child sims walk in Sims 4 is so funny to me, especially when they smile, they look like little rascals being up to something

I get the impression that they were thinking of making a survey about visual representation over all, and then it probably started to lean more towards questions about culture and ethnicity, but they didn't leave out the other stuff. It would indeed have been better if they made separate surveys.

I thought so too! They were probably going to make a text box but forgot about it. I wish they had made a text box.

Maybe they could've just let everyone write it themself, if they need to ask about ethnicities (because of the survey being about cultural representation) but don't know what it means, but there will certainly be other issues with that, and they'll probably group people incorrectly in the end anyway

One group I think of is Sami people, who are native to the Northern Nordics, what are they supposed to pick? They were never considered caucasian according to the 1800s race biology, but most of them have a light skin tone. I guess "Other European Origins", which is an absurdly broad category

Yeah, race is a societal construct and doesn't matter in the context of this survey. Ethnicity is a whole other thing, it describes societal groups based on shared cultural identity, traditions, customs etc, which is exactly what this survey is about! The options aren't ethnicities...

This made me think of that time a simmer felt that USA wasn't properly represented and it's unfair that "Snowy escaped hosted almost the entirety of Japanese culture and to be extra inclusive some features were taken out before release to make Korean players feel more comfortable" (not paraphrased)
