π¨ NEW: Andrew Milne has been barred from practicing as a solicitor by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and will need oversight by an SRA-approved solicitor in order to work.
A spokesperson for the SRA had this to say:
Oh goodness, yes please! Leeds is absolutely crying out for a @millmedia.bsky.social type newspaper. Please consider supporting...

Last time I was in Leeds, I was checking out of the children's hospital, so tired I'd forgotten how to tie a scarf.
Now I'm back! And building a tiny new team to give Leeds the incredible journalism it needs.

Drug wars, the wrong man being shot, escapes to Dubai... the crazy thing about this story is it's actually true. As @danhayesjourno.bsky.social filled me in on his chats with police and trips to court my jaw hit the floor.
Don't miss his incredible piece on one of SYP's biggest investigations:
@danhayesjourno.bsky.social has been working on this one for some time.
It's an extraordinary story - how do you track a killer when they shot the wrong man?
When 19 year old Kevin Pokuta was shot and killed in Page Hall in December 2023, it seemed to be a totally random attack.
βIt was a genuine whodunnit, which we rarely have,β says Detective Sergeant Lindsay Harding.
This is the story of how detectives from South Yorkshire Police caught his killer.
The case of Andrew Milne, the London solicitor who has been demanding thousands of pounds from Sheffield leaseholders, has just been raised in Parliament.
Phil Brickell MP said Milne had been βbullying, harassing and threateningβ homeowners and called on the SRA to crack down on βcrooked lawyersβ π
Despite what you may have heard, homicides in London are at their lowest level since records began. But if you're black, there's less to celebrate.
Really important analysis by Katharine Swindells for The Londoner.

A big development: the BBC is now running the story about Andrew Milne's "aggressive" letters.
"I'm still losing sleep over it. This man has made my life hell."
Great to see it getting pick up. And keep an eye on Look North - you may see one of our team!

After speaking to homeowners in tears following his "very aggressive" letters - many who have paid over Β£25k to him - I've been working to track Andrew Milne down and ask some questions. Yesterday, I finally found him.
