F1 media cannot for a single fucking day talk about this sport or the drivers in it without any bias. which look, i don't expect them to never not show bias, but if you're still saying Charles Leclerc is error prone in 2026 when George Russell is "magically fixed" you have your head up your ass.

1) this ignores the fact that Charles, Alex, and George all raced against each other up until 2016, when Alex and Charles got promoted to GP3 and George stayed in F3.

as much as i'm trying to move in silence, i want to praise the team for their hard work and efforts. no matter what happens, we can't say they're not trying. and i do think there's something to be said about the customer teams being incredibly happy with the PU as well. that really tells a story.

and another thing i'm proud of: they're not showing their hand. the message has been consistent throughout testing: we feel comfortable, but we don't know where we are. all we're looking for is reliability. the performance will come.

and it's all adding up as the days have gone by.

clearly we don't know the pecking order at all. yet the innovations that Ferrari have brought to Bahrain in adding components to their car to bring more performance are exactly what i was hoping for.

Fred Vasseur did not lie when he said they would have a different car by the end of testing.

honest preseason testing thoughts:

i'm impressed and i'm not afraid to say it. i think Ferrari have done an impeccable job both with their PU and their chassis. one of the big issues they had throughout the ground effect era was aero correlation. both drivers look quite comfortable on track.

seeing people claim “ferrari are showing all their strengths only” for Fred to then later debunk everything this so called experts claim 💀

he LOVES to drive a car that's on rails. i think everyone has been accustomed to watching Charles drive cars that have instability everywhere he can't control

he liks cars that are slippery with a stable front end. that's where he shines. these laps should not be shocking to those who pay attention

every time i hear commentary of charles' laps during testing i'm realizing none of them know his driving style

literally everyone is sandbagging at testing can we stop acting like Ferrari are the only ones who aren't

funny, because Ferrari tried to do this originally, and you all turned it down. then Ferrari properly developed their engine to avoid this specific issue, and vetoed a rule change since you all knew about the turbo problem already, and NOW you complain.

Fred did good in vetoing it. Because it was never a safety issue. The other teams were more than willful to develop a dangerous engine at the expense of their drivers safety. And now they wanted it changed. Eat shit all the other teams (Stella and Toto especially)

So start procedure was not a safety issue when Fred/Ferrari tried to address it a year ago. But now since all the rest of the teams realized they made engines that are terrible for starts, now they want to change the procedures to compensate for that.

Next time Ferrari cooks up an illegal engine Lewis is gonna suggest Kim as the lawyer and Ferrari is gonna become the first team in F1 history to get relegated to F3
