That's it, I'm starting my crash out era: I'm so tired of everyone having birthdays. I was throwing a fit last night and what do I wake up to? More birthdays! You want to share happiness and joy with me? Absolutely not. If I see one more birthday I'll go emotionally unavailable for the next month.

I love mothers

I think fantasy stories do a disservice to their readers by resurrecting characters. The experience of grief is an experience many readers can identify with. By then bringing back what was lost, it resolves the character's grief but it rips away the connection for the reader whose grief remains.

I had a dream where I went to Publix and they had a generic version of wheat chex. Normally the generic version changes the brand name (e.g. "wheat squares") but in my dream the generic was "brown chex".
