Sometimes this has led to the group saying "no, that's going to be great, do that", sometimes there are negotiations

The whole goal is group fun, and character faithfulness had to come second. If my character would do something that might ruin the group experience, I say "Hey guys, I really feel my character would do X now but I'll only do that if it won't make things less fun for you"
