Man that's nuts but i love it.
So you can also play as an infantry ?
Do they really stand a chance when mechas are in the field ?
I usually mix complex particle systems when i need something with multiple materials, like some explosions for example, but i use VAT animated Mesh when i need something simple, like my jumps FX of the hit impacts. the VAT methos is also easy to rotate in 3d space and could be made in a few minutes.

It looks great !
If you have some blender basics, you could try VAT animated Meshes, it allows you to animate multiple meshes in complex ways and bake their vertex positions in a texture, its way easier than designing particles FX and is the only way i found to easily recreate Anime-like FX in 3d.
Yeah this looks very cool indeed !
may i ask how you made the impact FX ?
Also a small suggestion, add a simple grid texture on the floor, because with a flat texture like this, its hard to percieve the movements.
oh interesting, ive heard of it from a while ago i think.
from what i can see its not voxels but mesh ?
do you use real voxels or the blender modifier ?
