New day, new borb! The Luzon bleeding-heart 🪶

This one is a dove endemic to the Philippine islands of Luzon and Polillo.

They eat seeds, berries and grubs. They are shy and secretive, and very quiet, and rarely leave the ground except when nesting.

Ghost (Eurasian) magpies are birds that, through a genetic mutation, exhibit imperfect albinism. The mutation affects the amount of black pigmentation in their feathers, giving them a distinct white-grey colouring.

They are known to have a variety of calls. The calls sound mournful, slow and have a soft, pleasant falsetto quality to them.

Its flight is strong, direct, and sometimes undulating. The wings can make a whistling "frrr" noise when flying.
