Anyway, back to Christmas movies.

Anyway, I'd like to congratulate several other movies in the Predator franchise for climbing a spot in my ranking (not you, Requiem - you stay right where you are).

Decided to take a break from Christmas movies and rewatch Predator 2, a movie I loved the last time I saw it (~30 years ago), to see how well it holds up. #filmsky

I understand why people are excited about this, but if the government hands people money, what incentive will they have to starve to death?

I'll second this. I tried roughly a dozen social networks when I left Twitter, and @hey.cafe is the only one that didn't just feel like a clone of something else.

A lot of you are claiming there's no footage of these hand-to-hand battles, WELL EXPLAIN THIS.

Best installment that virtually no one has seen?

This is a giant house spider, so named because they live in your house in the Pacific Northwest.

The quarter is there, because I offered it money not to hurt me.

Aside from one decent scene and an admittedly fun performance in which Ray Liotta appears to be auditioning for The Joker, there's not much about Turbulence worth watching. A pity Red Eye isn't a Christmas movie: I'd rather have reviewed that. #filmsky

I never saw The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I also haven't seen Dirty Dancing, but Rocky Horror feels like a much bigger hole.

Reading this article makes me significantly more likely to watch Good Boy, but risks me spending the movie chuckling about how good of a time Indy was having instead.

I still maintain it's a mean-spirited movie that celebrates lying and cruelty, a cynical tribute to everything bad in humanity at a time of year typically focusing on the opposite.

In other words, I still love the hell out of this thing. One of the funniest Christmas movies ever made.

Rewatched "The Man Who Came To Dinner" to see if my original impressions held up now that I've seen roughly three times as many Christmas movies.

ANNIHILATION (2018)

Silence? SILENCE?!!! People are discriminating against Pac-Man, and you want us to remain silent?

I'd like to apologize to anyone offended by all the things my last post didn't say. I honestly didn't intend the words I didn't use to mean things it didn't mean, but now I see that doesn't matter.

I pledge to try and do better in the future.

Guys, I'm worried all our posts are bad because if you change all the words they could say really awful stuff.

Looks like they have Fascination, but not Iron Rose.

Technically, this movie seems to be set between New Year's and Epiphany based on a single ambiguous line of dialogue, so there is a case to be made.

(I do not intend on building that case, however).

Well, that's practically perfect in every way.

And, look. That isn't NOT part of "Lips of Blood," but "Lips of Blood" delivers a sort of gothic fairytale at the same time. Requiem doesn't really get around to that. Though, again, there's still some intelligent vampire stuff here.

Or you can watch for the bondage stuff. No judgement.

The opening is great, and I love the dynamic between the master vampire and the cult.

But that's like ten minutes. Most of the rest is softcore pornography (albeit artistically shot) with very little story or character work.

I really liked "Lips of Blood" when I watched it earlier this year, so - since Criterion dropped a bunch of movies from the same director for October - I figured I'd give "Requiem for a Vampire" a shot.

It's got its moments, but much less interesting overall.

I hear you.

I realize promoting leftist/progressive politics on my own Christmas site may upset and anger conservatives there for other reasons, but I also know there are probably downsides, as well.

To its credit, ATM captures the tedium and banality of the machines it's named after. Granted, it was aiming for horror, but A(TM) for effort I guess. #filmsky

Anecdotal, but the bulk of Nextdoor posts in my area seem to have shifted from people whining about imaginary theft at the grocery store to horror and concern at the very real abduction of immigrants, so...

Good sign?
