An enjoyable time yesterday evening at a full-house event at #Edinburgh Central Library, giving a talk on my book Wild Edinburgh, followed by a lively question-and-answer session

It is 8 years ago when I saw this Fieldfare in the garden.

Think they are my fav out of the Pigeon & Dove world. Had a bunch of friends (Feral Pigeons) around me at Holyrood while I was having a snack they didn’t have any

Finished my Birding at St Margarets Loch I had a good time in fact I’ve had a great Birding day. My results at St Margarets Loch were

On to my next location St Margaret’s Loch at Holyrood.

Had a nice wonder around Calton Hill. There wasn’t a lot of birds around there but I will go back and see more in different seasons. Today’s sightings were

Seens nice so far I’ll prob need to return on a regular basis to see what’s around different days in the year

Woodpigeons & Magpies at Calton Hill.

Only here because I got a email enquiry from the Calton Hill folks asking if I’d be interested in leading a Birding Tour around Calton Hill in the future. I told them I have never been and don’t know the area at all but said I’d go and have a look and see if it’s suitable or not.

Never been up Calton Hill before so thought I’d look around and see if there’s birds around.

Today is World Wildlife Day. Let’s all do what we can to help our wildlife. #WorldWildlifeDay

What I really like about @keithbroomfield.bsky.social ‘s book is that every chapter ends with useful information on how to get there by bus or car. A must read book.

I have just finished reading “Wild Edinburgh An Illustrated Guide to the Wildlife of Scotland’s Capital” by @keithbroomfield.bsky.social It is a great read focusing on different places around the city and beyond on what you are likely to see there.

Change of plan for today was going to go to Cammo today but decided to go later on in the month however starting my Birding tomorrow.
