getting someone new setup in cooked's dev environment is way harder than I had realized. this thing is huge now

I see reports from companies saying AI is actually slowing down their programming and making it worse. I get something like a 2-10x from it, but I run myself ragged mentally applying structure and architecture to the prompts. I think this is some kind of indicator

to work hard you actually have to make yourself work hard. it doesn't always just happen

do you end up designing a complex system or solving major world problems - but only when you've stood in hot water for 20+ minutes?

do you actually like to code? do you find that you are doing so much more now with AI but it's really not the same job it once was?

real multitasking is more exhausting than most things. I used to be able to just focus on my one task I was on but now with ai agents doing most of the work, I'm more like a manager running 2-3 teams. it's wild how much i'm creating though.

making a good, like actually good for the users, notification system is surprisingly complex

finally getting quality notifications integrated. you'll find out when your friends are using your app or beat you in a game or when someone remixes your app, etc

one thing i'm finding very challenging about designing and developing a big platform is that even with a truly amazing product person and ui/ux expert, we struggle to bring forward the actual depth of functionality we've created to the user. it's so hard to do well.

i want ai to be a perfectionist about the code it designs in the same way i am but it's not and i just don't have time to be like that anymore
