Don’t think Rev really does satin finishes. But as a former Tele player, I’d recommend the Crosscut—one of the few string-through Revs and has two humbucking P90s which can go from HB to SC sounds with the bass contour. If satin is a deal-breaker I’d also look at Charvel DK24s 😚🤌💜

Day 20: Punk Goes 90s

A culmination of so many things that I loved—pop punk, screamo, 90s music—in new, reimagined songs. I know the trend now of “make a pop/rap song heavy or rock” is kinda cliche now but when the Punk Goes… series started it was a revelation.

I’m gonna be traveling 😢 But I got to see them play the 10 Year Anniversary Tour and they did TOCS & DtGL in full, back to back which was insane. I couldn’t talk for the next few days cause I blew my voice out

Day 19: Underoath - They’re Only Chasing Safety

Needed a screamo album on this list, this was one of the earliest and best (for me) I could think of. Pop sensibilities, emotive screams, cleanest of clean vocals, and heavy guitars? Yes please! Synths were the cherry on top

Insane to think that the time between thethe album’s release and when I first heard it would be akin to a Jr High kid today listening to The Wonder Year’s Suburbia for the first time 👴

Day 18: Nirvana - Nevermind

Talk about cliche, but I was not immune to having a grunge/classic rock phase. Was first introduced when friends at a summer camp wanted to cover Smells Like Teen Spirit which I had never heard 😅 It was and remains revolutionary.
