In her presentation, Kilgannon mapped out three non-negotiables in the fight against the so-called gender identity agenda, a conspiracy theory touted by anti-LGBT groups that disavows sexual orientation and gender identity. The first is to β€œdivide and conquer. For all its recent success, the LGBT alliance is actually fragile and the trans activists need the gay rights movement to help legitimize them.” In other words, separate trans activists from the gay rights movement, and their agenda becomes much easier to oppose. As Kilgannon explained, β€œTrans and gender identity are a tough sell, so focus on gender identity to divide and conquer.” For many, β€œgender identity on its own is just a bridge too far. If we separate the T from the alphabet soup we’ll have more success.”

Kilgannon identified a wide coalition of potential allies outside the Christian Right who could confront trans friendly measures. Here’s her advice on how to draw them in:

Explain that gender identity rights only come at the expense of others: women, sexual assault survivors, female athletes forced to compete against men and boys, ethnic minorities who culturally value modesty, economically challenged children who face many barriers to educational success and don’t need another level of chaos in their lives, children with anxiety disorders and the list goes on and on and on.

LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE MOVE IN THE ANTI-TRANS GAME IS DESCRIBED IN DETAIL AT THIS VERY PUBLIC CONVENTION THAT THEY HELD

And there are cis people out there who still think the anti-trans movement was somehow a natural, grassroots expression of legitimate issues.

I scoured Barker's published material and his archive to dig up every scrap of verse I could find-- and it's all here, plus a bit of his more moving prose and some commentary to put it in context.

Release date is still TBA, but it will be SOON-- check www.instagram.com/apportusedbo... for updates!

Many in the Fortean world know Barker's "UFO is a Bucket of Shit," but his poetry goes far beyond that, and illuminates much about his life and career. It doesn't hurt that a lot of it is absolutely hilarious to boot.

Cover art for a book. The background is a full-cover, green-tinted photograph showing a young Gray Barker, peering out of a doorway. He gazes intensely directly into the camera, with a flop of hair falling over his forehead. His hand is bent upward to hold a fur vest or collar around his neck.
Over the photograph are two line illustrations: one a circle with antennae-like protrusions coming out of it, the other a stack of concentric circles resembling a flying saucer.
Over the image is the text: "Behold the Behemouth: The Collected Poems of Gray Barker."

The full text pictured reads:
"I think he must be doing something right when there are so many people opposed to him," said Paul Minihane, 77, a real estate broker who lives in Dedham, Mass. "I mean, Donald Trump could look at me in the face and tell me to go screw myself. And I'd say, 'Thank you.' I think that's good. I don’t think he’s looking to kiss everybody’s ass. I think he's going to do what he thinks is the right thing. And I think that's a positive thing." His enduring popularity with the base presents a bind for Republican congressional candidates, who must win over his supporters without repelling swing voters.

The answer to the question "Who still supports Trump?" is, apparently: "Only the most deeply pathetic people."

The ground on a train platform, showing a thick residue of rock salt everywhere, and sizable piles of undissolved salt clustered around the base of a trash can at left. This stuff is terrible for shoe leather, incidentally.

This is, in my opinion, not only the correct moral/ethical/legal position but also the correct political framing. Everyone can see the agency is out of control; everyone can see that it is constantly violating human rights. "Scrap it and start over" is the moderate position.

There’s a GoFundMe for Jonathan Ross’s legal expenses for murdering Renee Good.

This violates GoFundMe’s Terms of Service. Everyone must report it.

"Sir! This is a warning!" the agent yelled as he punched the man's vehicle window. "Stop fβ€”king following us! You are impeding operations! This is the United States federal government!"

"I live over here," the driver explained. "I got to get to my house."

"This is your warning!" the officer exclaimed.

"I serve the Lord; go to church," the resident replied.

"I will arrest you!" the officer threatened.

"Don't make a bad decision," another agent warned.

"I serve the Lord," the driver repeated. "Not a draft-dodging coward."

"Let these people go to church," the driver added. "Let these people serve the Lord and worship."

"You're not going to like the outcome of this, sir," the first officer said. "I guarantee that... Did you not learn from what just happened [when Renee Good was killed]?"

"Learn what?" the driver asked. "I serve the Lord, not a draft-dodging coward. I can't believe you'd take orders from a draft dodger."

The reactionary centrist logic is simple: if the left does something bad it’s the left’s fault, and if the right does something bad, it’s also the left’s fault for making them do it. It’s a simple formula and once you see it every one of their arguments is the same

It's not enough to merely abolish ICE. We need to repeal the so-called Patriot Act, dismantle the Orwellian named Department of Homeland Security, and decentralize the our domestic security apparatus so that it can never again be used to wage war on the American people.
