When things get boring at work I leave the box for a pregnancy test by the sink in the ladies' toilet at work. It never fails to get people talking. Is someone trying? Is someone worried? Who? I'm 51 now, so it obviously can't be me.

I mean, obviously dysphoria and depression and suicide are all real and awful, but frankly, I think “I just felt like it, fuck you” should be reason enough for transition in a free society.

I didn't criticize it lol. I just know from experience the vast majority of people Google 'study that agrees with me' and link the first result that pops up without reading any article. I could do that myself. If someone is sending me something, I expect it to be something they've read.

Are video games and TV rotting children's brains too? Stop liking things just because they agree with your opinion especially when you couldn't even answer basic questions about an article/study

Not reading a random article that someone links on the internet isn't anti-intellectualism. Thanks for confirming that the article isn't complete bunk before I spend time on it, though. I'll probably read it tonight. The studies still might be, but that remains to be seen.

Is it peer reviewed? What's the sample size? Has it been replicated? Who did the study?

One study doesn't give us anything. One study is holding up the entire anti-vax movement. Please don't display anti-intellectualism while criticizing others for being dumb

If it wasn't AI now it would be asking Google 10 years ago. No one goes through their life being intelligent and competent then magically forgets how the world works when they see AI. I've worked in customer service for years. The average person just doesn't understand reality.

This is a great example of how conservative grievances are with society overall rather than government. It’s not even like a teacher told her; another student did!
