Been meaning to note this, but life - and documentary work - has gotten in the way.
But @mattreyn.games launched this earlier this week and it's looking quite snazzy.
So it’s been a few weeks since I went loud on this.
And now this coming week is going to be a big promo week to mark one month before its premiere (technically it’s today, but really it’s Monday because fuck February for having 28 days).
So you can bet I’m going to be loud as fuck again for this.

So yes, he’s going to keep kicking ass for RPG Site, continuing to head up an industry defining leader in its own right.
But if you have the budget and make room for someone like @apzonerunner.com on your team for that broader expertise, by all means, do it.
You won’t regret it.
In an industry that, as I perceive it now, needs more like him, Donlan, etc, we could do with a lot more Alex Donaldsons: authorative and informative knowledge, incredible writing and multimedia talent and more.
But more than those things, a good heart and kind soul to boot.
Everyone and their ma knows how good of a writer Alex is, you don’t need me to tell you that. His body of work on EG, VG247 and RPG Site — which he’s going to continue to smash — says that for me.
What I am going to tell you about is not Alex Donaldson the writer, but Alex Donaldson the person.
He’s a bloody amazing writer, to say equally of person. To wit, after I left VG247, he allowed me to join RPG Site for a bit to keep my news skills fresh as best as I could.
I appreciated that at the time. I still do.
But not even just that.
When I was running in enthusiast circles and before I joined VG247 even on a freelance basis, let alone permanently, Alex was someone who was a constant guide and a good friend too.
When I was at VG247 way waaaay back, Alex was someone whose name I mentioned for FL work for shifts and was one of two reliable covers in that regard (the other being the equally amazing yet AFAIK now social media adverse Stace Harman).
To say GN have dropped the ball large is an understatement.
Well then. After 9 years my role of Editorial Director at Eurogamer/IGNE has been made redundant. If you’re reading this and feel I have a lot of valuable experience (I do), I’m keen to explore any opportunities (full time, consulting, other) in the games industry. I am great.
