We partnered with an 11-18 secondary school in Kent who were determined to eliminate adolescent illiteracy.
πŸ“š24 of their students have now graduated from the programme.
πŸ“šThe students gained between 2.5 years to 8 years in their reading.
πŸ“šThe average gain was 5 years in 33 half-hour lessons.

9. He stopped sitting alone on β€˜his’ bench at lunchtime. He started interacting with staff and talking to canteen staff. I am honestly welling up a little writing this. A year on, Tom has a group of friends and he is smiling every time I see him.

8. Before Thinking Reading Tom sat on his own during lunch. We never heard him speak. He was isolated from his peers and from the staff.

About four months into the programme - as his reading progressed - he started going to the school library. He would always say hello to the librarian.
