The ART Awards are open for nominations. There are a range of awards for individuals and groups. Remember, the ART Awards are open to anyone, not just ART Members.

ART Tutors are encouraged to co-teach to help maintain a uniform standard and message across all our courses. They will all, in various ways, tell you the same thing. If you would like to join a course, or organise one in your area, events.bellringing.org is your first stop.

Last week ART Tutors delivered 2 day courses. One M2F in the beautiful North Yorkshire market town of Helmsley, and an M1 in the somwhat warmer city of Honolulu.

There are three day courses running before the end of the month, including one specifically for young ringers.
The minimum age for a day course is 14 and you can become a member of ART at 16. However, if you are under 18 then your teaching needs to be supervised by an ART teacher or mentor.

You can still grab a place on the Sherston M1 if you are quick. Other than that all the September day courses are full, but there are some places in October.

ART Assessors are appointed to recommend a teacher for accreditation against a set of common standards. An assessment isn’t a pass or fail exam, it is about how much support someone needs teaching, and as with any developing skill we should all be supporting and learning from each other; forever.

One of the most important people in your journey to ART accreditation is your Mentor. Mentors provide guidance and support to teachers after the day course, but mentors often learn as well as share their skills and ideas. Teacher and mentor should work together in this development period.

There are 22 ART Tutors around the world. They are experienced ringing teachers who are highly committed to the ART ethos, and they lead the day courses that start new and experienced teachers on the ART accreditation pathway.
