Your right Jaz, also wrong with due respect - Gordon put his claim forward to the QPR board 2016, as new crest was being designed. You’ll remember, 4 designs were put forward to the R’s fanbase, all 4 crests had 1882.
Date could’ve been rectified before any announcement was made on the new crest..🤷‍♂️
