There are folks who fear nothing more than others realizing they feel completely unremarkable and inauthentic next to others and they live lives doing anything they can to distract themselves (and everyone around them) from reflecting and healing those deep seated insecurities.

Hearthcraft is such a beautiful word comprised of heart, earth, ear, and art.

The normalized removal of emotions from this system’s processes is our own undoing. We are not more “objective” by hardening our hearts. We are simply lying as if our fullest human faculties are not factors, and, therefore, generally more cruel, calculating, and disembodied.

Rich people in high rises seem to forget that as climate crises, like major flooding, continue, mold doesn’t need to know their address and can rise to their ego.

I love them. They grow incredibly strong in impossibly harsh conditions. And from just looking at their (early life) lower body, one would never expect them to bloom from their spikey exterior so vibrantly.

It’s the first flower I ever remember seeing because they were all over the land around the first house I ever lived in before it became more fully developed. I remember just stopping and staring to admire their flower’s beauty and their body for being so sharp and protected.

It is my top priority to speak life into and validate the experiences of those who global societies implicitly and explicitly work (intentionally or not) to kill.

I wish we lived in a world that didn’t make natural disasters like what is hitting Jamaica right now more and more inevitable.

Many industrialized nations have this same issue but also on average eat significantly less processed food and/or have access universal healthcare. So the three problems in tandem still exist, but do so at nowhere near the same level as the u.s. has perfected for profit.

The u.s. food system is as much about selling single use oil-based plastics that we quickly throw away, and become contaminated with, as it is about selling us processed food that make us sick, tired, and profitable medical patients.

Now if only they would care more about every discrimination 😄
