But I just want to draw some skrinklers, but I'm also like "it's kinda sad, like they don't have a home, I just poke and prod them and dress them up.....is that okay?" And even knowing "they're lines on paper; pixels on a screen", I still feel bad.

It's an odd little conundrum I find myself in

I have so many ideas, yet I drop them or try and weave them into a worldbuild, because I just have this need to give everyone I make a story. But I then sit and think about the story...and get caught up in it...and then I move onto the next design when the worldbuild gets overwhelming LOL

Q: Are you able to create characters without them having a backstory of any kind and/or an extremely vague one (maybe for future-proofing?) Maybe a handful of personality traits?

Do you just...make OC's that are there to make you happy and just vibe? Dress them up however, like a doll?

I just wanna go more "toon-y", have more fun with pushing designs, really looking at shape language and having fun!! Art needs to be fun to me again, so I'm making it so!

yes...I do wonder....LOL And I agree, I've become a lot more fond of "ugly" designs. Their just lil funny goobers, little gremlin creatures, frolicking about. It's just more fun for me to be more open to goofy lookin' skrinklers, tho I completely understand people who can't stand the goofiness lol

All the starters' megas have been out for a while, but now that some people have the games (aka, game shop workers), the more popular leaks are turning out to be true. I know a lot of people aren't gonna like the megas, but I personally love the goofier designs from recent games, so I'm vibin LOL
