This illustration - inspired by our fellows - reminds us what the #COP30 negotiations must protect. We need clean air, unpolluted rivers, renewable energy, strong communities, and a liveable future for all children. Let’s choose wisely. ✨

Opinion: When it Comes to Climate, Hochul is No Better Than Trump - City Limits "New York needs a governor who respects the will of the vast majority of voters who want climate action, and whose elected representatives already passed climate laws on their behalf."

I wrote about all the ways @governor.ny.gov is failing on climate in one place so it's easy to find.
She's no better than Trump. And no, it's not about "affordability."

New in @citylimitsnews.bsky.social today by CF co-chair, and parent organizer @loinbrooklyn.bsky.social :

When it comes to climate, @governor.ny.gov is not much better than Trump.

Climate delay=denial. Our kids deserve a governor who won't set their future on fire.

I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this video.

I don’t know how we’ve gotten to the point where men in full balaclavas can abduct daycare teachers while they’re watching children.

But I do know that this isn’t sustainable. Abolish ICE. There is no way to reform this.

CBS News kills its climate unit David Ellison, the new pro-Trump chief executive of Paramount Skydance, has dismantled the best climate change reporting team in cable news.

A scoop that I’m not happy to report:

CBS News has gutted its climate change reporting team, one of the best in the business, and one of the only ones on cable news that consistently called out fossil fuels as the main source of climate pollution.

We're heartbrokoen to learn that 2 people died in flooded basements in NYC yesterday. This is the climate emergency, and we need leaders who will stand up to the fossil fuel industry and invest in clean energy and resilience.
